Proud to be day 17 for the PICO-8 Advent Calendar

Z - fire reindeer laser

Cursor keys - move left/right

Presents - check ... Sleigh-bells - check ... Reindeers - check ... Laser canon - check.

Just your average Christmas Eve for Santa, when all is quiet and those thieving present-obsessed aliens begin their marauding spree.

Stop the aliens from stealing the presents. If they get away they'll mutate and you'll never here the end of it. Make sure you catch presents if they fall. Imagine what could happen if all the presents where destroyed ... instant violation of the Insanity Clause!

Excellent ultra low rez (I like it!) Christmas-themed Defender game.  Good control, nice bits of polish here and there. You  did a great job on this.

This is a fun little game that, through its simplicity, has a fair amount of replay value. Just like the classics it's based on! It only has so much to look at, but it's a good time overall, if a bit tricky to get the hang of. The audio was all nicely done as well, really setting the mood of blasting holiday aliens.

Good job, dev. You've been making some nice things.

I like the Atari 2600 Star Wars estitic.  But the fact you have to wait for an alien to pickup a present before you can get credit for saving it seems wrong.  To me it would be more intuitive if you just have to touch an unclaimed present.

You've never played Defender have you?

Haha, this is great.  Sleigh Defender!
